About Us
Everything Is Changing
So What Shape Will Our Future Take?
2020 has been a real roller coaster. The chainlift hill that got us to the top before we began our spiral into chaos goes pretty far back, however. So what we’re trying to do here is watch what’s happening as it happens so we can have our own context, free from the biases of publishers and corporate media. Then we can analyze our own past, our mistakes, our triumphs, our darkest hours and our brightest days. But to do that, we need to amplify the voices of those who have been silenced for far too long. So even though I am, myself, a straight, cisgendered, white (maybe not white enough for some people) male (He/him), I’m doing this to contribute to the movement in the best way that I can – being a conduit through which people can feel free to express themselves and speak to us about what’s in their heart.
We are listening. And we will boost the signaL.
We’re almost a month into these protests and we’re still going strong.
We’re Not Yet Sure What This Will Look Like Either
This venture has its roots back in March of 2020 when I first came up with the idea of a podcast or a Youtube channel to chronicle the events of the COVID-19 pandemic in the New York area. But so much more has happened and is still happening that limiting the scope of…whatever this is seemed inappropriate. There’s a lot more to unpack than ‘just’ the pandemic and even that would have been a huge undertaking. But this is bigger and it requires all of our efforts to tackle and analyze. We will adapt because we must.

I do know that for now I want to hit these topics from different angles – political, social, cultural, historical, etc – and talk to people who have expertise and experience in those areas. If you’re interested in taking part and having your voice amplified head on over to the Contact Us tab.
But just a heads up – there is no room for hatred, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, racism, or any of that trash here. I know some people hate the phrase ‘safe space’ but I do want people to feel like they can express themselves freely. Therefore, intolerance will not be tolerated.
A better future for all of us is possible. What it will look like and how we get there is up to us.
